The course includes five lessons. To submit your homework, you will take a photo of your flower arrangement and upload it to our online gallery for feedback.


Lesson 1: The Basics

Lesson 2: How to Make a Hand-Tied Bouquet

-Learn the timeless techniques for making a hand-tied bouquet, a technique florists use over and over again for natural flower arranging.

-Learn the recipe elements to create the bouquet and how to choose flowers for a compelling composition.

-Learn how to create an aqua-pack for hand-tied bouquets.

-Create your own hand-tied bouquet and receive feedback from Chelsea. 

Lesson 3: Making a Wild English Arrangement

-How to choose the right flowers to create a garden-style effect.

-How to build a shape for your arrangement.

-Two different ways to build mechanics for a shallow vase, including an all-natural method.

-How to compose a wild, garden-style floral arrangement.

-Make your own version and receive feedback from Chelsea.

Lesson 4: How to Make a Flower Crown

-Learn how to choose the proper flowers for successful flower crowns.

-Learn the tools and techniques for professional flower crowns.

-Create a flower crown along with Chelsea, and receive feedback on it.

Lesson 5: Bridal Bouquet + Boutonnière

-Learn how to choose the proper flowers for a bridal bouquet.

-Using the hand-tied bouquet technique, we will create a bridal bouquet.

-Learn how to treat and prepare a bouquet so it is vibrant on the day of the wedding.

-Learn how to profesionally ribbon the bouquet.

-Learn how to create a matching boutonnière for the bouquet.

-Create your own bridal bouquet and boutonnière and receive feedback from Chelsea.

What supplies do I need for the course?

If you want to complete the homework (we recommend doing the homework!), you will need a few supplies. Each lesson offers a full list of supplies. You will need:

Floral tape

Floral Wire

A low vase or bowl

String or twine

Flower clippers

Ribbon

Parchment paper (optional)

A camera (can be phone) to take photos of your assignments to submit for homework.
