Meet Chelsea

Sustainable floral design instructor and author. Lifelong gardener. Connecting people back to the natural world through the joy of flower arranging.

My work with flowers (for 25 years and prior) encompasses owning a flower shop, prop and floral styling sets for major brands and publishers, working on flower farms in the English countryside, designing with event and floral companies, and producing online content about gardening and floral arranging. Today I am a sustainable floral design instructor based in Lisbon, by way of Portland.

I taught myself floral design at the age of 12 while I grew my first cottage garden and later took classes in London and completed an internship and additional trainings in gardening, floral design, and horticulture.

In 2021, I published my first book with Abrams, Field, Flower, Vase: Arranging with Seasonal and Wild Blooms.

Today. I teach students across the globe about sustainable floral design through my streaming online classes, virtual live classes for corporate teams, and my floral and garden retreats in Portugal, my home by way of Portland, Oregon.

My goal is to connect students back to the natural world to inspire greater care and concern for our planet. The state of our planet today is largely due to a disconnection from our natural world, of which we are a part.

I'd love to meet you! Send me an email to connect.
