Something Borrowed Flowers

Something Borrowed is about sustainably growing, harvesting and preserving a range of ornamental and wild flowers in the heart of the Cotswolds, England.

I 'borrow' from Mother Nature; from the wildflower pasture we have rewilded, the hedgerow that borders our fields, the cultivated spaces for perennials and annuals and my beloved dahlias.

Growing and Drying Dahlias

April 16th, 2022

8 am PST

Everything is dried naturally in the loftier spaces of my 18th century farmhouse home to be used in garden inspired, playful designs and installations.

I try to keep my work seasonal and contemporary, away from that 1970's vibe of dried flowers that last for 30 years, only 'dusted' occasionally with a hairdryer. This is bringing the outside in, for contemporary decoration and design using what's around you.

I will teach you all about growing and drying dahlias in this workshop.
